Aspen – The remedy for feeling uneasy.
But, how does it work?
Aspen is a tricky remedy to comprehend (like Mustard) as it works on those unseen levels that are there, and affect us, but we rarely have the sight to see it.
I’ve noticed that Aspen protects against astral influences.
It’s the remedy for when something wrong or bad is occurring on the astral levels, and if you’re sensitive, you will pick up on it.
There is always a lag between what is manifesting astrally and in the 3D.
So, my working theory here is that when something major is about to go wrong, we will feel that sense of uneasiness and impending doom.
But it’s also the same sense you get when something is around you in an entity form.
It’s also possible that if someone has bad intentions towards you, but you don’t know what they are, you may get that same sense of uneasiness.
It’s the proverbial, I’ve got a bad feeling about this.
Which brings me to the part of the question that I’ve been mulling over for decades.
How does Aspen work?
From what I’ve been able to discern, Aspen provides protection against negative astral influences. It helps shield one from negative or disturbing energies.
They are energies with the intent to harm or cause problems.
They may not always be astral based. It can be someone with negative intentions toward you, like a work colleague, boss, neighbor, jealous or jilted lover, or someone who has decided you have offended them and is going to get even.
It could be people talking behind your back or trying to sabotage your reputation.
Many places in the world use rituals, such as black magic, voodoo curses, or the evil eye, to cause harm.
Many, in their ignorance, might chuckle or laugh at this, but believe me when I say, this is no joke. Not only are such things real, but I have seen lives grind to a halt and people devastated by such rituals.
These things may cause the target to shift into the Aspen state as they sense something is amiss. That they have run afoul of something or someone.
Global events versus personal events
As mentioned, this state may manifest on a personal or global level.
9/11 is a good example, as many people reported feeling like they were in grief weeks before it happened. They did not know why. This is a classic Aspen state.
You know something is coming, but you might not have context for what that is. You don’t know what you don’t know.
On a personal level, it’s easier to discern what that might be. Aspen may bring clarity, and because you have way more information about your life and the people in it, you can focus on what you know is going on and the people involved.
When you hit on the right answer, you’ll likely get an ‘ah-ha’ moment. It may not fix the problem, but it will allow one to know what is coming and hopefully move to avoid that outcome.
Globally, though, you have much less control. Some things become inevitable once a critical mass of toxic energy is reached.
You might feel depressed, sad, angry, frustrated, or triggered for no apparent reason.
(It’s safe to say that many are feeling that way at the time of writing this entry. (April 6th, 2026.))
Aspen vs Gentian
Taking Aspen helps one to see past the immediate calamity to a point beyond it. Where all is eventually resolved.
In that way, Aspen is akin to Gentian.
Gentian is the remedy for known setbacks. When something goes wrong, taking Gentian will help reassure one that even if things look dire, they will work out in the end.
Aspen does the same thing, except it’s for unknown setbacks. Events you feel coming, but because you have no information or context, you cannot define what they are.
It also helps with the fear of the unknown. Especially if that is a fear of the paranormal.
Protection against attacks
Aspen is also a remedy that helps protect against psychic attacks.
When someone, or something, is trying to influence you in a negative way (be that black magic or an entity trying to mess with your emotions to make you feel like giving up), Aspen can provide protection against these types of attacks.
Willow (for negative self-image) and White Chestnut (for unwanted thoughts) are also important to block such attacks.
Use Aspen as a Spray
Using Aspen as a spray can provide protection. Walnut (the link breaker and protection against influences that try to mess with your life path) is also a very helpful remedy to complement Aspen.
Also, Mustard may be helpful, too. (the remedy that helps protect against energies that drain the joy from one).
Aspen helps ground the energies so they do not affect you as badly as they might.
Aspen also helps Empaths, who are always struggling to cope with others’ feelings. This is important as it helps one not to take on trauma or negativity from those around them.
In conclusion
Aspen is a protector. If you have a sense of doom, or uneasy feelings, or just feel panicky for no apparent reason, then it’s worth trying.
